The Farm Stand

Where real food and community meet.

Announcements: The Farmstand is open 9am-noon all Saturdays in October, 2025 and will be set up on Bledsoe Street in Prairie View, TX. Send a text message to 346-544-0235 for the exact address and current menu.

The Sourdough Farmstand is an outgrowth of our small, home-based family baking business here in Prairie View, Texas. What started as a simple love for sourdough has grown into a community-supported microbakery focused on wholesome breads and bakes made with integrity.

In 2025, we were honored to receive the Microbakery Award for Best Microbakery and to be featured in the Houston Chronicle — recognition that means the world to us because it reflects the care and heart we put into every bake.

At The Sourdough Farmstand, we proudly use simple, clean ingredients — no seed oils, no shortcuts — and let time and fermentation do the work. Loved and supported by our local community, we’re grateful to share real food made by hand, the way it’s meant to be.

What You’ll Find

The Farmstand is open every Saturday from 9 AM to noon. It’s where we share the breads, treats, and seasonal bakes each week, all made with organic grains, long fermentation, and clean ingredients (no seed oils, ever).

Each week’s selection looks a little different — from classic sourdough loaves and focaccia to cookies, sweet rolls, and handmade pastries. Everything is baked in small batches and made to nourish and delight. Some items are familiar favorites; others are spontaneous bakes that show up when inspiration strikes.

Why It Matters

Though very humble — a rolling bakery cart on our driveway — the Farmstand is more than a place to buy bread — it’s a rhythm, a gathering spot, a reminder that food made with care still matters. We believe good bread and good company belong together, and that’s what you’ll find here each week.

Come Visit

Stop by the stand, say hi, and take home something fresh and handmade. You’ll find us right here in Prairie View every Saturday from 9 to noon — no preorder needed. Just bring your curiosity (and maybe a friend).
